Bring a blanket, or a lawn chair and your current read. We have reserved Berkeley Green in the heart of Saranac Lake to be outside on this beautiful summer evening. Our back-up plan if the weather is not ideal, will be to read at Origin Coffee Saranac Lake.

Ever wished for a book club without the pressure of discussions or reading assignments? The Bookstore Plus, The Book Nook, and Origin Coffee Co. are thrilled to bring the global Silent Book Club phenomenon to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake.

ABOUT SILENT BOOK CLUB

Join us on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6 PM - 8 PM for a unique and unstructured book club - no pressure to finish a certain book or have discussion questions ready! The SaraPlacid Chapter will alternate meetings at Origin Coffee Co.’s Lake Placid and Saranac Lake locations each month.

At Silent Book Club, there is no assigned reading. You bring whatever book you are currently reading to our monthly meetup. There will be time to order a drink (100% decaf menu also available), chat, and find a seat before settling in to read companionably with fellow book lovers! All are welcome.
